Spaceman vs Aviator vs JetX: What Actually Differs

Spaceman, Aviator and JetX are three crash games with the same basic idea: a multiplier climbs from 1x, you cash out before it stops, and if you wait too long the round ends and the stake is lost. Because they look so alike, readers often ask which one is "best". This article lays out the facts that can be checked, shows what the small RTP differences cost in plain numbers, and explains why the honest answer to "which pays more" is: none of them, in any way you can use.

This site is independent and about Spaceman. It is not affiliated with Pragmatic Play, Spribe or SmartSoft Gaming, and it does not recommend where to play.

The Side-by-Side Table

The table lists only what the developers or the games' own rules state, plus a few points where sources disagree. Where I could not confirm a figure from a reliable primary source, the cell says so.

A few cautions about reading it:

  • RTP is a long-run average, not a promise for a session. Operators can also offer a game at a different setting, so the rules screen of the casino you use is the figure that applies.
  • Maximum multipliers are theoretical ceilings. A 5,000x or 25,000x cap says nothing about how often anything near it appears. In a crash game the chance of reaching a high multiplier falls roughly in proportion to the multiplier itself, so the very top is extremely rare.
  • Bet limits and maximum payouts vary by operator and currency, so no universal figure is given here.

Fairness: Provably Fair vs Certified RNG

This is the one row of the table where the games genuinely differ in kind, not just in degree.

Provably fair (Aviator)

A provably fair system lets a player check, after the round, that the result was fixed before bets were placed. It uses cryptographic values that the player or the platform can recompute. If you value being able to verify outcomes yourself, this is a real advantage, and it is the main thing Aviator has that the other two do not.

Certified RNG (Spaceman and JetX)

Spaceman and JetX rely on a random number generator that independent test laboratories have certified, together with the licence of the operator that hosts the game. You cannot recompute a single round yourself. You are trusting the certification and the regulator, not your own check. That is a normal model across the casino industry, but it is a different level of transparency, and honest descriptions should say so.

For the Spaceman side of this in detail, see Spaceman and provably fair claims. If anyone tells you that Spaceman has seeds or hashes you can verify, that statement is false.

What a 0.5 Point RTP Gap Costs

Spaceman at 96.5% against Aviator or JetX at 97% is a gap of 0.5 percentage points. Translated into money, using total amounts wagered (not deposited):

Total wageredExpected loss at 96.5%Expected loss at 97%Difference
100 units3.5 units3 units0.5 units
1,000 units35 units30 units5 units
10,000 units350 units300 units50 units

Two readings of that table:

  • It is real but small. Over 100 units of turnover the extra expected cost is half a unit. For a casual session of 200 rounds at 1 unit each (200 wagered), it is 1 unit on average.
  • It is invisible in a session. A single round at 1 unit can win or lose far more than 0.5 units, and the spread of real results around the average is much larger than the gap. You will not be able to tell, from your own results, which game has the higher RTP.

All three games still have a house edge. A 97% game costs 3 units per 100 wagered on average; it does not "pay more" in any sense that lets you come out ahead. For the full maths of a single game, see how the Spaceman RTP works.

Why "Which Pays More?" Is the Wrong Question

The multiplier is not a payout promise

All three games show multipliers that sometimes reach very high numbers. That is the visual hook, but the probability of reaching a given multiplier is already built into the RTP. A higher ceiling means rarer high outcomes, not better odds of getting paid.

Each round is independent

Past rounds do not predict the next one in any of the three games. Streaks of low crashes do not make a high one "due". No strategy, signal or bot changes the house edge, and tools that claim to predict crash points are scams or do not work.

The differences that are worth weighing

If you choose between games at all, base it on things that can honestly differ:

  • Transparency: do you want to verify rounds yourself (provably fair) or are you comfortable with certified RNG?
  • Rules and features: how cashing out works, whether you can place more than one bet, what the screen shows.
  • Pace and presentation: some people prefer a faster, plainer game, others a more themed one.
  • Operator quality: a licensed, regulated operator with clear terms matters more than a 0.5 point RTP gap.
  • Budget control: the game you can keep inside a fixed budget is the better choice for you.

For two-game comparisons, see Spaceman vs Aviator and Spaceman vs JetX.

Summary

  • Spaceman: Pragmatic Play, 96.5% RTP, 5,000x maximum, certified RNG, not provably fair.
  • Aviator: Spribe, 97% RTP, provably fair.
  • JetX: SmartSoft Gaming, 97% RTP, certified RNG, not provably fair.
  • The RTP gap is 0.5 units per 100 wagered on average, which no player can notice in a session.
  • Pick on transparency and preference, never on a belief that one game pays more.

Frequently Asked Questions

None pays more in a way you can use, since all three keep a house edge. Choose on fairness transparency, rules and personal preference, and keep play within a fixed budget.
Aviator is provably fair, so players can verify rounds, while Spaceman uses a certified RNG that you cannot check yourself. Both can be fair; the difference is how much you can verify.
On average 0.5 units per 100 units wagered, or 5 units per 1,000. It is far smaller than normal session swings, so you cannot notice it in your own results.
Both state 97%, against 96.5% for Spaceman. Operators may offer different settings, so check the rules screen of the casino you use.
No. The chance of reaching a high multiplier is already counted in the RTP, so a higher ceiling just means very large results are rarer.
